New fashion post on the blog with new ideas on my mind .....:)

              Christmas is all gone but still there is a lot to look ahead guys !!  As new year is approaching new dreams , new resolutions , new challenges and a lot of other new things are on everybody"s mind ... what are your new year dreams and resolutions .. mine are to stay happy and positive undoubtedly healthy too and to work harder to achieve my goals coming year ...and of course travelling is on my mind too !! its been a year since i had been on a vacation ( all credits to mr.husband :( ) but this year i am not gonna spare him at any cost lol...
             Ideas keep flowing to my mind and this new idea is what i am really looking forward to . What about sharing stories of wonderful women who had done amazingly good in their life despite of the hurdles they had to face ..wont it be inspirational enough girls ??  :)
             So , from my next fashion post onward i would come with a brief motivational story each time ... till then stay tuned and keep rocking ...:)

Tired of acnes and zits or dull complexion !!! now say no to them ...:)

      These days lots of mine friends ask me how to get a glowing and clear skin which is zits and acne free !! so, i thought why not write a post on it that can help you get that blissful skin . Clear and glowing skin is every girl's dream!! is it not ? yes it is !! so lets discuss top ten tricks that you can include in your daily routine to avoid breakouts and a dull complexion ..

• Aloe vera : Who has not heard of aloe vera !! ... and i would say it is baba ramdev ,skin care and cosmetic brands who made it so popular , otherwise we did not even knew that this green colored plant in our garden has so many magical properties.So, i would suggest you that why to invest in those high brand cosmetic products who promise you beautiful skin via aloe vera when you can use it straight from your garden or plant pot !! and that too fresh !! ... Just cut one stem of the plant and slit it open with knife , now rub its pulp all over your face , especially your problem areas such as fine lines, acne scars .. after leaving it on face for twenty minutes wash your face with cold water and you will notice results within fifteen days ...but do apply it regularly .
  
• Magic of hot and cold water splashes : How you wash your face in winters ? with warm water? If yes ? please stop doing this as warm water can make your skin saggy and make it loose its firmness . Do wash your face with warm water first but after that splash cold water on your face as this will increase blood circulation in your face and give you that glowing complexion . and dont rub your face with towel afterward instead tap your face with your hands to further increase blood circulation .It will give you that pinkish glowing complexion for sure..
  
• Ice therapy : What do we use ice for ? To soothe ourselves in summers but do you know that ice can soothe your skin too . Just rub ice everyday on your face for at-least five minutes and you will get that smooth and youthful skin for years . hollywood's top celebrities use ice therapy to ward off their age off their faces ... a cost free formula again . You can also use green tea infused ice cubes for increased benefits...
  
• Haldi doodh (turmeric milk) : When do we usually drink it ? Especially we indians !!Whenever we want any wound to get quickly healed or any bone fractures or small wounds !! How do you feel about your acne on your skin ? just the same , ugly and painful like other wounds on our body !!... So why don't we drink it to cure our depressing wounds on our face . so many antiseptic creams claim turmeric in their beauty products . instead of applying it outside drink it with milk , so that it can cleanse your blood and whole internal system , the major cause for acne.
  
• Over cleansing : Over cleansing your face with harsh soaps can over-dry your skin and further cause acne ... Wash your face daily not more than twice with mild soap free cleanser. And  not washing or cleansing your face regularly also clogs your pores and the enviornmental dust and bacteria cause breakouts ... twice daily means once in the morning and once while going to bed and  any other time of day when you need or feel to wash it just wash it with plain water and dry it using  paper tissues ( paper tissues is what i prefer for daily use instead of  hand towels as they get dirty easily without us knowing and further aggravating the skin problem )
  
• Sunscreen : We all think that its just necessary when we go out in sun and not when we are indoor, a rainy day when sun is not visible or on a cloudy day !! But sunscreen is to be used for protection against sun rays and not sun alone .. whether you can see or not but sun is always their and so are its rays .So make it a daily regime to use sunscreen everyday from 9 am in the morning to 6pm in the evening to protect your skin from its harmful rays even if you are indoor.
  
• Selecting chemical free products : Just dont get influenced by the fancy advertisements on tv to select your skin care products ." Dimaag ki batti ghumao , apni akal lagao ".. we generally just read the basic things like mfg. date , expiry period , its uses and price on the product but do we care to read a long list of chemical ingredients it contain . Just read them before purchasing any cosmetic or skin care product and try to buy only chemical free products .. and if its hard to understand the tough scientific jargon on the list!! what is ourgoogle for?? :) .. search about it on google and know which chemical formula is harmful on your skin .
  
• Water : Keep your skin and body hydrated for that dewy complexion . Plain water do wonders for your skin , flushes out all the toxins from your skin and makes it clear . reduce your caffiene intake drink lassi , lime water instead which provides you vitamin c , a must for healthy skin.
  
• Daily workout : Daily workouts balances our hormonal problems and when you sweat its all the toxins that are leaving your body . Exercise helps oxygen to reach every part of our body and face too making it clear and refreshed . 
  
• Say no to junk food : What we eat is what we see on our skin.. A healthy diet consisting of fruits vegetables and appropriate proportions of carbs , protiens and fat leads to a healthy and glowing skin ...IF you eat junk don't expect your skin and body reward you with a problem free skin or body..
  

And at last my personal tip, one more secret to healthy skin is" meditation "... Are you not allured by the glow and charm on the face of a saint ..Nothing more to say :)....

                             How are you all ? How are your days going ??...mine are crazy enough :)  finally got something to work upon after rolling chapattis in kitchen from last couple of years ... :p  though mr. husband is really happy with what i was doing before (cooking yummy food for my mr. foodie :) i got the way into his heart through this medium and skill too :p ) i must say in case of food he wants it up-to the  perfection else he would say " dont make it "... and now hes happy that i am getting out of the kitchen and doing what i am really enjoying doing ... it is not that i did not enjoy cooking , cooking is my passion too .

                          Came back home after spending my holidays at mothers house and now was surprised who would click my fashion posts for me as husband is always busy in his business work !! but see i found my partner in crime again :) and let me introduce her to you !! shes my maid and see never underestimate any women ... Every women is special !! She did the job without any fuss !! i love you auntie for being there always ..:) so here are the pics that we got clicked . and do comment if you like them ... :)

                 Wanna get that celebrity like red bold lips !! if yes , then this is the color for you . bold matte and a shade that will bring that instant diva look to your face .

Price : I got this lipcolor for rs. 250 which is very reasonable i feel for such a formula.

                                                          

                                                            

Packaging : Packed in a transparent bottle which has metal body inside and the  transparent cap is made up of plastic . Beneath the bottle color name and number is provided . Packaging is i would say just ok type . Not very good neither too bad . One thing that i liked about the packaging is that from the transparent bottle the color of lipstick is visible very clearly so , you will not be opening each and every cap to find that particular color that you want to wear on that p[articular day if you have other colors also from this range too . 

                                                              

Shelf life : 3 years 

Color : Bold matte typical statement red color . 

                                                             

My take on this lipcolor : I was in search for this proper matte red lipstick and i think i have got one after buying hot hot hot lipcolor from Colorbar . The color is super pigmented and stays well for at least six to seven hours . Its a long stay lipstick . The formula is hydrating enough and not ultra matte that will dry out your lips . Just one swipe or stroke application is enough for getting proper pigmented lips .i applied this lipcolor after applying a little powdered compact on my lips as i was scared that the color will bleed as other red lipcolors often do . Have not applied any gloss to it . I would say that it will definitely enhance your complexion and adds an instant spark to your face. it has not got that waxy lipstick type smell to it . My only complain with this lipcolor is that it really leave prominent stains on your glasses and spoons and you would have to use your makeup remover to remove it completely off your lips .  i would also suggest to not to overdo or highlight other zones of your face while using this lipcolor as it will ruin your look and make you look gaudy. .

    Got to purchase this lakme lip love conditioner from the range of lakme lip love products that are exclusively created in italy ... What made me purchase this product was its packaging and its tiny size ... absolutely perfect to carry with yourself while traveling in winters for those smooth glossy lips ...Purchased the color named flirt.

                                                               

prize and packaging :

Rs.225 for a pack of 3 gm . Packaging is too cute , its a pot packaging with a red metal cap and when you open it you find the lipcolor packed in the shape of heart ... I really fell in love with it at the very first sight .Even when you hold it reverse you see shape of heart formed with the lipcolor in the glass jar. Packaging is just awesome and appealing to eyes ...

                                                                  

what it claims :

lakme lip love conditioner claims to hydrate and condition your lips with shea butter and jojoba oil . It comes with spf 12 to protect lips from sun damage.

My take on the product : 

I wont say its a lipstick rather i would say it works more like a lip balm . But as lip balms generally don't provide any color to your lips this product from lakme will give you a tint with gloss . Its not a fully developed color but will will give your lips a nice light colored coverage . Perfect for everyday use , office goers or college going girls . The color named flirt that i bought is a pink toned color and gives a very light pink coverage to your lips . I would say that it does not lasts for too long , you will have to reapply it even after a light meal . It has got a light fruity fragrance to it that i personally loved as it is not too strong or overpowering . It cant be used as a base under your lipsticks as lipsticks will not stick to it due to its glossiness ... So, i would say that its neither a proper lipstick nor a proper lip balm , its something in between that you can use everyday for that natural non makeup look. One thing i really did not like about it is that i have to apply it with my lip brush as its a jar packaging and does not comes with a lip brush . You can apply it with your finger tip as well .

                        How are you all ? doing fine !! hope so :)

                        Today i am going to review a product from maybelline eye studio that i purchased recently ... it is lasting drama gel eyeliner !! These day i am in love with my plain kohl eyed look everyday but for that special occasion or any festive moment i cant do without my eyeliner ...

                         

                        For very first time i am using a gel based eyeliner ( my previous one was extra lasting eyeliner from avon ) . I bought this for Rs. 380 and it has shelf life of approx.30 months..

                                                          

                                                                    

                                                                 

 Packaging : Maybelline lasting drama gel eyeliner comes in a beautiful tiny tub packaging with a silver cap on its top .You get an exclusive eyeliner brush with it . Personally i really found the packaging too cute . I love such tiny winy packaging's very much . Its travel friendly if you don't throw away its outer packaging as it will help you find your gel eyeliner and brush to apply it at one place ..                                                      
                                                                  

                                                                       

What it claims : It claims to be water proof and smudge proof eyeliner that lasts for 24 hrs. It is quick dry formula and resists tears sweat and water . It does  not crease and the brush provided along with it allows you fine to thick smooth even application on your eyes..

My take on the product : I liked the product . The first thing i noticed is that it does not has that strong chemical based smell that generally all liquid eyeliners contain. It is a fuss free formula and its claim to be a quick dry one stands absolutely true . You don't need to keep your eyes closed for some time post its application . It does not have that typical gel type consistency rather it has smooth texture . It will not give your lids a glossy look rather it gives a matte look to your eyes . Yes , it is water proof as well as smudge free . But the one thing that i didn't like about this eyeliner  or i can say about its brush is that it is not appropriate for fine line application ... you will need an extra fine liner brush for that sleek stroke. It basically allows line to be drawn thick . It stays well for whole day and does not cause irritation to your eyes . Does not smudge much even if you rub your eyes the quality that i really liked . Ideal for that dramatic eye look ...
