DENIM WITH MONOCHROME !!

                                                                                Hello my Girls :) !!

This year is devoted to skirts either they are maxi , knee length or pencil style and a monochrome piece is quite a must have in ones wardrobe . Could be styled in different ways and suits almost every body type .

I was searching for such a style for quite a long time and finally my search ended at an online portal . I bought it three months back but it was not styled due to freezing cold outside .

This is the appropriate time to wear it with a denim shirt . Coming months would be more warmer and i wont be comfortable wearing denim shirts anymore . So , this is the right time to style it along a denim shirt .

Pencil skirts look classy and create an illusion of a slim waist as they hug you around the tinier portion of your waist or your body . Opt for a skirt that just ends below your knees if you are on a heavier side as it would further make your lower body part look slimmer and sexier . Wear it with heels to look longer and leaner as i did here :)  I personally find pencil skirts too feminine and classy .

These type of skirts could be further styled with crop tops and if you are on a heavier side throw a summer shrug or blazer on it . If in a holiday mood it could be worn with a loose tee and a pair of classic flats . So , how are you going to style your monochrome piece this summer share it with me :) ... would love to hear from you :))

And yes !! did i forgot to tell you guys that i have joined yoga classes these days , although i used to practice yoga indoor all alone but practicing it in a group midst of fresh flowers and fresh air is an experience in itself :) LOVING IT  !! :))

JUST HERBS AFFAIR FUMITTORY LIQUORICE SKIN LIGHTENING CREME REVIEW

HI EVERYONE !!

Today on the blog i am going to review AF'FAIR FUMITTORY LIQUORICE  Skin Lightening Creme from JUST HERBS . JUST HERBS is another ayurvedic brand that i am in love with  . After abusing my skin with almost every possible chemical i could  (while using chemical based face washes or other skin care products )    finally i have found my secret to Skin Care .

I am loving my skin these days and i hope my skin is happy too and thankful to me for taking a good care of it without using any chemical based products on it .

I bought this Just Herbs Fumittory Liquorice Skin Lightening Creme online from here .

PRICE AND PACKAGING : This 50gm. pack costs you Rs.395 and should be used within 6 months once opened . Shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture .

Its a basic plastic tub pack which comes with a golden metal screw cap at the top . Cap is quite convenient to open and its a travel friendly pack not heavy in weight and not big in size . Could be carried away easily wherever you go . The only issue with tub packs is that i don't find them hygienic enough . So i use a clean plastic spatula to get the product out of it . All in all packaging is quite basic and not much to be talked about.

SMELL AND TEXTURE : It is light creamish in color and texture is thick and not runny just like most of the products in tub packs are . Smell is bit strong as it contains natural and ayurvedic ingredients but it fades away within minutes after applying . I could not judge what exactly it smells of but it definitely smells bit strong like most herbal products smell .  A little pea size amount is enough to cover up the whole face and you have to massage it for a while to let it get properly absorbed by the skin . It feels bit sticky when you first apply it but just like its fragrance , stickiness also does not stays for long . Within minutes skin absorbs it completely .

WHAT IT CLAIMS AND CONTAINS :  It basically consists of 99.3 % natural ingredients and 100% herbal active ingredients . It is paraben free and suitable for normal to dry skin  .

A blend of exotic natural extracts of wonder herbs, this night cream helps to fade away dark patches and spots. Indian herbs Fumittory and Manjishtha help detoxify the blood and boost circulation to fade freckles and skin discolorations, while liquorice and yellow zedoary help control the melanin producing mechanism triggered by inflammatory response of the skin to exposure of sun’s UV rays. Vetiver roots promote skin regeneration and rejuvenate the sun damaged skin cells for a visibly fairer and radiant skin . ( as claimed on their site here )

Ingredients in detail could be checked in the pics below :

MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT : I noticed a small little dark patch near my chin and lip area which  made me bit anxious . I didn't knew what it was and why it appeared but after doing little research i found that this is pigmentation which further distressed me . So , i searched for a skin lightening creme online and came across this one . Although i have oily skin but i noticed later when the product arrived that this product was meant for normal to dry skin . Still i decided to give it a try and after applying it every night before going to bed  for about a fortnight i am noticing such good results :)  Other than that reduced pigmentation mark my minor acne or pimple scars are also fading . It has not caused any breakouts on my skin so far and skin is feeling bright and lustrous too . I am loving the way it has treated my pigmentation spot and i am sure that it being a chemical free formula it wont create any other skin problem as a side effect . Mostly chemical based products treat one skin problem of yours and another arises as a side effect . As summer has already arrived i have started using it mixing with a little drop of aloe vera gel to play it safe . Its basically a night creme and works best if you use it before going to bed . Would suggest not to use it as a day cream as it would invite dust and could clog pores .

KICKS THAT YOU SHOULD OWN THIS SEASON !!

" A WOMAN CARRIES HER CLOTHES

BUT ITS A SHOE THAT CARRIES A WOMAN "

Add a pair of heels to you otherwise simple outfit and you are ready to rule the world ..

If you would have read my earlier post on fashion trends this year ( here) i have given some brief ideas on whats in fashion this season but as the blog journey continues some of the latest trends would be discussed in detail on this platform . So, lets start up from the bottom ( i mean lets discuss shoes first ) as your shoes are a true picture of your status and personality both  :)

This season shoe style is going to be a little retro and chic with bold bright colors and even multi colors stealing the show. As always basic black ,  blue , beige would be there this season too but neon colors like yellow , orange , lime or turquoise blue would be like hot cakes for this season . It would be impossible to discuss each and every shoe pattern or style in this post but we would be definitely discussing some must haves in your shoe closet to let you not be out of idea on an instant outfit need .

  • BASIC BLACK OR BROWN BALLET : A basic black or brown ballet flat shoe is almost everyday solution to our shoe needs . Comfort being their forte they can be paired with almost every outfit . Whether its jeans , trousers , capris , skirts or patiala salwars they mingle with each and almost every outfit for everyday wear .

  • GLADIATORS  :  To add  that little glamour quotient gladiator flats steal the show . They are equally comfortable like ballet shoes but are little more eye catching than those . One must own at least one pair in either black or white color in your shoe closet . If you are brave enough to carry knee high gladiator flats then thumbs up to you :)  as these are the latest trend in gladiator shoe category .

  •  NUDE HEELS OR PUMPS : Like basic black heals one color that is quite essential in your shoe closet is nude or beige colored heels either they are open toe , wedges , gladiator heels or pumps . They are just perfect to tone down the bright colors in your outfit and go very well with most of our outfits . They are just classic :)

  • NEON COLORED HEELS : Must have this season are neon colored basic pumps , you can choose from colors like orange , yellow , lime green . They add that needed extra spark and girlishness to your outfit . Could be paired with subtle colored dresses for that oomph factor . You can also try color blocking outfit ideas with these .

  • BORGES OR OXFORDS  : Who said other than sports wear lace shoes are just for men . They look more stylish and classy on us girls :) These are the latest sensation in the fashion world . Can be teamed up with ankle length trousers and jeans , shorts , capris and maxi skirts . I wore them ( HERE )

  • BLOCK HEELS : Block heals have done a comeback this time . If you want to be known as the all trendy fashion diva go and grab one for yourself .. They are on my wish list too due to their style and comfort both . I would call them as " Practical Heels "

  • LEOPARD PRINT : Leopard print or animal prints are in as we all know wheather its clothes , bags or shoes they are seen everywhere . These should be worn carefully and keep in check that your outfit must not include more than two things that are animal print .

  • WEDGE HEELS : Comfortable and classy these could be worn when you are not in the mood to wear flats but want almost same level of comfort . I would prefer one in beige or tan shade .  They almost go with every color outfit . I wore them ( HERE )

  • A PAIR OF SILVER OR GOLD HEELS : They are must in every shoe closet Every year and Every season . Want to add an instant glamour to any  pretty simple outfit on a party night pair it with these and you are ready to go :)
So , these are some must have shoes this season and some among these are basic shoes that every girl must own in her shoe closet :) Hope you loved the post and if any shoe type that i have missed that you feel should be there in every girls closet who love buying shoes and want to keep up with the latest trend do share it on the blog in the comment section :)

TILL THEN WEAR HEELS AND STAY STYLISH  :)

DIY EMBELLISHED SUEDE BALLERINAS !!

"  JUST WHEN THE CATERPILLAR THOUGHT HER WORLD WAS WAS OVER
                                SHE BECAME A BUTTERFLY "
and this is what exactly happened to my three year old suede black ballerinas . They were almost settling for a bin now but their owner was so much in love with them that she gave them a new life .

Story behind these ballerinas is that they were just declared useless after they lost one of their butterfly wings pasted on them . But still the owner ( moi moi ) was not ready to part away with these as she was very much impressed with their comfort level and style :) . So , just decided to reinvent them :)

And here was an old purple colored embellished top which was not of any use now . Just extracted some of its stone and they were ready to be fixed with fevicol young at art craft glue on these bellies . I first selected a rough pattern and then pasted these stones according to it . Key to success  here is patience . Placed each stone with much care and composure so that the pattern remains identical on both sides of the pair .

You can do same with any of your basic heels or flats . If bored just reinvent them with your art and  imagination and you are ready to rock in them, again :) hope you liked my effort and if you have any such ideas would love to hear from you :)

AND HERE IS HOW THE NEW BABIES LOOKED LIKED :)

Spring and florals bring back the child in me

Hiya everyone !

Spring is here and i was yet to do an outfit post on florals . Spring and florals go hand in hand and this is the time when everything seems beautiful  . For me nature is at its best and so is my skin . I am loving the way it behaves when the spring is here and for a girl happy glowing skin means a lot .

I hardly use any tough makeup for my skin and till i was in college the only make up  i used was some kajal or a lip gloss . First time i purchased or used a compact or foundation was when i got engaged .

Here the only makeup i am using is lakme cc cream and a bit of Rimmel London Spring Flower 3 in 1 powder blush  and on my nails you would see NY CITI nail lacquer no. 033

These shoes i bought from zara recently and i am just in love with them . You would see them often on the blog i guess :)

Going little blingy blingy this time to add some spark to the outfit and colors make me happy you can see in this post !! :))

Did i forget to tell that the lip color i am wearing here ?? It is  shade named Hot Hot Hot from Colorbar (REVIEWED HERE )
